Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and vans to transport freight to designated destinations in a timely manner.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and vehicle readiness.
- Secure cargo properly using straps, chains, and covers to prevent damage during transit.
- Update electronic logging devices (ELD) accurately to comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks, such as tire pressure and fluid levels.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, road safety, and vehicle handling.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid Social Security Number.
