Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and vans to transport freight to designated locations.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition.
- Maintain accurate records of daily logs, mileage, and delivery receipts.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and route changes.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a similar role.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations or DUIs within the last 7 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and a drug screen.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
