Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Vehicles: Drive commercial trucks and tractor-trailers to deliver freight on time and in perfect condition.
- Load & Unload: Safely load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Maintain Vehicle Condition: Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs, delivery receipts, and other paperwork in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers at delivery sites, resolving any issues professionally and efficiently.
- Route Planning: Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure efficiency and timely deliveries.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL: Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License required.
- Clean Record: Must possess a clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and pass a DOT physical examination.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to read maps and GPS systems.
- Availability: Must be available for flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
