Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) safely and efficiently in all weather conditions.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight to prevent damage.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation (e.g., electronic logging devices).
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical readiness.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, shippers, and receivers regarding delivery details and schedule changes.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements (Class A or B).
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) on file.
- Clean driving record with no major violations or DUIs.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
