Responsibilities
- Safely operate company-provided commercial trucks for local and regional freight delivery
- Pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain compliance with DOT regulations
- Load/unload freight using appropriate equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts)
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Adapt routes to weather/traffic conditions for on-time deliveries
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Uphold strict safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends
