Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for freight transport across DC metro area
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and safety protocols at all times
- Plan and optimize delivery routes for maximum efficiency
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Inspect vehicles pre/post-trip and report maintenance needs
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for real-time route adjustments
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Secure and verify cargo before departure
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with DC metro area roadways and regulations
- Basic knowledge of freight handling and securement
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
