Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport freight across designated routes
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT compliance logs
- Load/unload cargo using forklifts and pallet jacks with precision and safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch teams to optimize delivery schedules and resolve route issues
- Document all transportation activities and maintain electronic logging systems
- Adhere to FMCSA regulations and company safety standards at all times
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with hazmat endorsement (preferred)
- Minimum 2 years OTR experience with clean MVR (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in varied weather conditions
- Proficient in electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation systems
- Pass DOT physical and random drug screening requirements
- Strong knowledge of Texas/NM highway systems and border crossing procedures
