Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight within the Memphis region and beyond
- Plan efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to DOT regulations
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Secure and document cargo according to safety standards
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Complete required paperwork including bills of lading and delivery confirmations
- Adhere to all federal/state transportation laws and company policies
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license required
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Memphis metro area and surrounding routes
- Forklift certification preferred
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
