Responsibilities
- Coordinate and dispatch freight loads to ensure timely delivery and optimal route planning.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, shippers, and receivers to resolve logistical issues.
- Manage load booking, tracing, and tracking to guarantee 100% on-time performance.
- Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities and driver logs.
- Monitor carrier performance and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Handle customer inquiries professionally and resolve any service complaints efficiently.
- Collaborate with the operations team to improve dispatch processes and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in logistics, freight dispatching, or transportation.
- Strong knowledge of the trucking industry, DOT regulations, and freight terms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in using dispatch software, transportation management systems (TMS), and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations.
- Valid driver's license is preferred but not required.
- Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and a problem solver.
