Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from schools and field trips according to assigned routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain clean, safe bus interiors
- Implement strict child safety protocols during loading/unloading procedures
- Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adapt routes efficiently for weather delays or special events
- Maintain accurate attendance and incident documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger/School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 2 years driving experience with clean MVR
- Pass background check and drug screening
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate wheelchair lifts
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Spanish bilingual preferred
