Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight between distribution centers and client locations
- Perform pre-trip inspections and routine maintenance checks to ensure vehicle compliance
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology while adhering to delivery schedules
- Complete accurate documentation including delivery logs, manifests, and incident reports
- Maintain strict adherence to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status and potential delays
- Collaborate with warehouse teams for seamless loading/unloading operations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of Virginia roadways and traffic regulations
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and route planning software
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Flexible availability to cover morning, afternoon, or evening shifts
- Pass background check and drug screening per DOT requirements
