Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight between distribution centers, client locations, and ports
- Adapt delivery schedules to accommodate flexible hours while maintaining strict time windows
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Utilize GPS technology for optimized routing and real-time traffic adjustments
- Load/unload shipments using appropriate equipment (forklift, pallet jack)
- Document delivery status and resolve minor discrepancies on-site
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and early mornings
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and operate warehouse equipment
- Strong knowledge of Jersey City metropolitan area roadways
- Basic proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS systems
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
