Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles for dedicated routes between Bakersfield and regional distribution centers
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while utilizing flexible scheduling options
- Complete accurate pre-trip inspections and maintenance documentation
- Maintain electronic logs (ELD) and comply with FMCSA regulations
- Build strong client relationships through professional communication
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize route efficiency
- Participate in ongoing safety training and performance reviews
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years OTR experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- Strong time management and route planning skills
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices and transportation software
- Physical ability to handle loading/unloading duties when required
- Willingness to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
