Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport packages to customers within designated Austin routes
- Manage delivery schedule efficiently while maintaining Amazon's strict on-time performance standards
- Provide exceptional customer service during package deliveries and address customer inquiries
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation using Amazon's handheld scanning technology
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure operational safety
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize delivery routes and resolve delivery exceptions
- Adhere to all traffic laws and Amazon's safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience or equivalent delivery background
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs regularly and push/pull carts weighing up to 700 lbs
- Strong time management skills with ability to independently manage delivery schedules
- Proficiency using smartphone navigation apps and basic technology systems
- Reliable transportation to and from the Austin distribution facility
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high safety standards
- Flexible availability during weekday daytime hours (exact schedule negotiable)
