Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight between distribution centers and client locations
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation including bills of lading and delivery confirmations
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and perform routine vehicle maintenance checks
- Optimize delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals while adhering to DOT regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team regarding route changes and delivery status
- Handle loading/unloading operations using appropriate equipment and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficient with electronic logging devices and GPS navigation
- Strong knowledge of Louisiana transportation regulations and route planning
- Exceptional time management and problem-solving abilities
