Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional freight transport
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT logs
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route planning and delivery scheduling
- Verify freight documentation and secure loads according to safety standards
- Communicate proactively with clients and team members regarding shipment status
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Perform minor preventative maintenance and report equipment issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement (preferred)
- Minimum 3 years verifiable OTR or regional driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 5 years
- Pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screening
- Proficient in electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Strong knowledge of Texas roadways and weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
