Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport construction materials (gravel, asphalt, debris) across job sites
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and local traffic laws in Honolulu
- Coordinate with site supervisors for efficient loading/unloading operations
- Operate GPS systems for optimal route planning and time management
- Maintain clean and secure cargo during transit
- Report mechanical issues and assist with basic preventative maintenance
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with airbrakes endorsement
- Minimum 2 years experience operating dump trucks in construction
- Clean MVR and ability to pass DOT physical/drug screening
- Familiarity with Oahu terrain and construction zones
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in variable weather conditions
- Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation
- Flexibility to work early mornings and weekends as needed
