Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver packages and documents within New Orleans metropolitan area
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain recipient signatures for all shipments
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology to maximize efficiency
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Handle fragile or temperature-sensitive packages with specialized care
- Coordinate with dispatch team to resolve delivery exceptions promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience in urban environments
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout shift
- Proficiency with smartphone navigation apps and delivery tracking systems
- Strong knowledge of New Orleans neighborhoods and traffic patterns
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings and weekends
- Pass background check and drug screening as per DOT regulations
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle troubleshooting
