Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport packages, documents, and time-sensitive materials throughout Long Beach and surrounding areas
- Maintain precise delivery records and obtain proper client signatures for all shipments
- Perform thorough pre/post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure optimal safety and compliance
- Utilize GPS navigation systems to optimize routes and maintain strict delivery schedules
- Provide exceptional customer service with professional communication at every delivery point
- Collaborate with dispatch team to resolve delivery challenges in real-time
- Assist in loading/unloading procedures while adhering to proper handling protocols
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license with clean MVR (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience with delivery/courier background preferred
- Ability to safely operate cargo vans and box trucks up to 10,000 lbs
- Strong knowledge of Long Beach geography and major transportation corridors
- Excellent time management skills with ability to prioritize multiple deliveries
- Professional demeanor and outstanding interpersonal communication abilities
- Ability to lift packages up to 70 pounds repeatedly throughout shift
- Must pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
