Responsibilities
- Safely transport time-sensitive documents and packages to designated locations across Washington DC metropolitan area
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain recipient signatures for all shipments
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Optimize routes using GPS technology to ensure on-time deliveries
- Communicate delivery status updates via mobile app to operations team
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service during all client interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver's License with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B preferred
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience in urban environments
- Familiarity with Washington DC geography and traffic patterns
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout shift
- Proficient with smartphone navigation apps and delivery tracking systems
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Background check and drug screen clearance required
