Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vans to transport goods and packages on designated routes
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures
- Perform pre-trip inspections and report vehicle maintenance needs
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and traffic regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Assist with warehouse duties when not on delivery routes
Qualifications
- Valid Class D driver's license with clean driving record (minimum 2 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout shift
- Proven experience in commercial driving or delivery operations
- Familiarity with NYC boroughs and traffic patterns
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Basic computer literacy for delivery tracking systems
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred but not required
