Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across the New York metropolitan area
- Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain accurate logbooks
- Perform pre-trip inspections and report vehicle maintenance needs
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for efficient route planning
- Ensure proper loading/unloading of cargo
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries
- Maintain clean and organized vehicle at all times
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with NYC traffic patterns and regulations
- Strong attention to safety and compliance protocols
- Basic knowledge of GPS navigation systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
