Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers over various road conditions and terrains.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo accurately, using proper lifting techniques and securing devices.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs.
- Navigate delivery routes efficiently to meet scheduled delivery windows and customer expectations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding route changes and delivery status.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations, Hours of Service (HOS), and traffic laws.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for cargo documentation and scale calculations.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts as required by business needs.
