Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles to transport cargo to designated delivery points.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting all findings.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring cargo is protected from damage.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery records.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedules and route changes.
- Uphold a professional image and represent the company's brand while on the road.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial truck driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, cargo securement, and safe driving practices.
- Excellent navigation skills and proficiency with GPS and onboard computers.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy items and performing tasks at heights when necessary.
