Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (tractor-trailers) to deliver freight to designated locations in Stockton, CA, and surrounding areas.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and cargo protection.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Uphold high standards of customer service, ensuring packages and freight arrive in pristine condition.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screening.
- Must be at least 21 years of age to operate interstate commerce vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road safety, and navigation systems.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, to meet delivery deadlines.
- Must possess a valid Social Security Card and proof of US residency.
