Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial freight vehicles in compliance with all local, state, and federal traffic laws and DOT regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, utilizing proper equipment to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, shippers, and receivers regarding delivery times and route changes.
- Represent SwiftStream Logistics professionally at all times, maintaining a clean driving record.
- Adhere to safety protocols to minimize risks and ensure the well-being of passengers and cargo.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B (CDL A preferred for Freight).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience (Experience required, equipment provided).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no DUIs or serious moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of logbooks, delivery procedures, and cargo securement.
- Ability to lift and handle cargo straps, tarps, and dock plates.
- Valid Medical Card and DOT registration.
