Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (26+ ft) for regional routes between Phoenix, AZ and Southern California
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques and securement protocols
- Navigate using GPS systems while adhering to DOT regulations and delivery schedules
- Communicate with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status and delays
- Complete paperwork including bills of lading, trip reports, and fuel receipts
- Participate in quarterly safety training and equipment familiarization sessions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license or ability to obtain through our paid training program
- Minimum 21 years of age with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of commercial vehicle operation and safety regulations
- Strong time management and route planning skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during loading/unloading
- Flexibility for overnight trips (typically 2-3 nights per week)
- Willingness to complete company-sponsored hazmat certification (paid for by employer)
