Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks to transport goods safely and efficiently within the Los Angeles area and surrounding regions.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging device (ELD) records in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (CDL training provided for qualified candidates).
- Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must possess a clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
- Must be willing to undergo a background check and drug screening.
