Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) safely and efficiently to deliver freight across the United States.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging devices (ELD) in strict accordance with federal hours-of-service regulations.
- Interact professionally with customers at delivery locations to ensure satisfaction and accurate paperwork.
- Manage cargo loading and unloading procedures to prevent damage and ensure safety.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and traffic laws at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delays, route changes, and cargo status.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of driving experience is preferred, but entry-level training is available for qualified candidates.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must possess a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no DUI/DWI within the last 7 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, if necessary.
