Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight across Alaska's road network
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness
- Accurately maintain delivery logs and documentation for compliance
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and warehouse staff
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload freight with proper material handling techniques
- Assist in resolving delivery issues and route adjustments as needed
Qualifications
- Valid Alaska Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A or B) or willingness to obtain
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and background check
- Basic knowledge of Alaska road systems and weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Willingness to participate in paid company-sponsored training program
