Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight within Indiana and surrounding regions
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Load and unload shipments using appropriate equipment and techniques
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logbooks
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding shipment status
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Represent SwiftWay Logistics professionally in all customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- No commercial driving experience required (we provide training)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic math skills for shipment documentation
- Flexibility to work variable schedules including early mornings
- Strong commitment to safety and punctuality
- Willingness to obtain CDL-A license through our training program
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
