Responsibilities
- Safely operate company-provided box trucks for local/regional freight delivery
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation per DOT regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Optimize routes to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to schedules
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team regarding shipment status
- Represent SwiftFreight with professionalism in all client interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (minimum 3 years experience)
- Proven experience as a box truck or straight truck owner operator
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment safely
- Strong knowledge of Greensboro, NC regional road networks
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Must have reliable smartphone and basic computer proficiency
- Ability to pass mandatory background check and drug screening
