Responsibilities
- Deliver packages to residential and commercial addresses throughout the Houston metropolitan area in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
- Inspect delivery vehicle for cleanliness and mechanical issues prior to the start of each shift and report any maintenance needs immediately.
- Interact with customers in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner, ensuring package handling is respectful and secure.
- Collect payments or verify proof of delivery (POD) signatures accurately and promptly.
- Navigate efficiently using GPS systems and adhere to all traffic laws and company driving policies.
- Manage time effectively to meet strict delivery windows and route efficiency targets.
- Report any delivery exceptions, damages, or safety hazards to the dispatch team immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver’s License required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and a professional appearance.
- Ability to lift, carry, and push packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Reliable smartphone with data capabilities for navigation and communication.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
