Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver packages and goods throughout Raleigh and surrounding areas
- Load/unload merchandise with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Utilize GPS technology to optimize delivery routes and ensure timely arrivals
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries and handle basic customer inquiries
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation using mobile scanning tools
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Collaborate with dispatch team to resolve delivery exceptions and route challenges
Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education preferred
- Ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 pounds regularly
- Strong time management skills with ability to meet strict delivery windows
- Basic smartphone proficiency for navigation and scanning applications
- Reliable transportation to and from designated depot location
- Pass background check and drug screening as required by DOT regulations
- Must be available for early morning shifts (5:00 AM - 1:30 PM) and weekend rotations
