Responsibilities
- Efficiently deliver packages and goods to residential and commercial addresses
- Optimize routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries
- Load/unload vehicles safely and maintain cargo security during transit
- Collect payments and obtain customer signatures where required
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve delivery inquiries
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid UK driving license (Category B) with minimum 1 year clean driving record
- Strong knowledge of Birmingham road networks and postcodes
- Ability to lift packages up to 25kg repeatedly
- Basic numeracy and literacy for delivery documentation
- Flexible availability including weekends and early mornings
- Smartphone proficiency for route tracking apps
- Full UK work authorization and right to work
- No criminal convictions related to driving or fraud
