Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods within New York and surrounding states
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device (ELD) records
- Coordinate with dispatchers and clients for efficient route planning
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Assist with loading/unloading cargo as required
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding delivery status
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or B license (mandatory requirement)
- Clean driving record with no major violations
- Ability to pass DOT physical examination and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of truck maintenance and safety procedures
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work early mornings, nights, and weekends
- Willingness to complete company-provided training program
