Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) to transport goods on scheduled routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Load/unload shipments with proper handling techniques and equipment
- Adhere to DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and team members
- Navigate efficiently using GPS systems while optimizing delivery timelines
- Complete paperwork including delivery confirmations and incident reports
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to perform minor repairs
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Commitment to safety and customer service excellence
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends
- Willingness to complete company-sponsored hazmat endorsement training
