Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight across designated routes
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate electronic logging of hours and mileage
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Load/unload cargo efficiently and verify shipment documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Participate in ongoing safety training and performance evaluations
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B (or willingness to obtain)
- Minimum 21 years of age with clean driving record
- Pass DOT physical examination and drug screening
- Basic mechanical knowledge of commercial vehicles
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours including overnight shifts
