Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) for local/regional routes
- Conduct pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance reports
- Load/unload cargo using pallet jacks and basic warehouse equipment
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging system
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Collaborate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization
Qualifications
- Valid Michigan CDL Class A license (or ability to obtain through training)
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in varying weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of commercial vehicle operation and safety standards
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings and weekends
- High school diploma or equivalent required
