Responsibilities
- Operate Class A commercial vehicles safely and efficiently on weekend routes between Baltimore, MD, and North Carolina
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while adhering to DOT regulations and company policies
- Load/unload cargo using proper equipment and securement techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status
- Complete electronic logging system documentation accurately and in real-time
- Maintain clean driving record and report any incidents immediately
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency in using electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong knowledge of Maryland and North Carolina highway systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate loading equipment
- Excellent time management and customer service skills
- Availability for weekend shifts (Friday-Sunday or Saturday-Monday)
