Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and maintain cleanliness of the cab and cargo area.
- Deliver freight on time while communicating effectively with dispatch and customers.
- Ensure all safety protocols and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations are followed at all times.
Qualifications
- Clean Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Valid DOT Medical Card in possession.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience (preferred for entry level, but training available for qualified candidates).
- Pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong commitment to safety and defensive driving techniques.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends if required.
