Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles following all DOT regulations and company policies
- Complete pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate trip documentation
- Deliver freight to designated locations within the Virginia Beach metro area
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and defensive driving practices
- Assist with loading/unloading cargo when required
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance driving skills and industry knowledge
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- No prior CDL experience required
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic math skills for trip planning and documentation
- Strong work ethic and punctuality
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Willingness to obtain Class A CDL through company-sponsored training
- Must be at least 21 years of age
