Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) in accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload freight accurately and securely using appropriate equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Navigate delivery routes efficiently while adhering to strict time schedules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of New Mexico.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and criminal background check.
- Clean driving record (no major violations within the last 3-5 years).
- Ability to read and comprehend maps and delivery instructions.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
