Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles safely and efficiently on regional and over-the-road routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper handling and placement.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to all Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
- Keep the vehicle clean and maintain a professional appearance at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than two preventable accidents in the last three years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screen.
- Willingness to undergo paid training if you do not currently hold a CDL.
- Basic math skills for cargo weight calculations and log maintenance.
