Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) safely and efficiently on local and regional routes.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Deliver freight to designated locations on time while maintaining professional customer service standards.
- Complete accurate logbooks and documentation in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the vehicle interior and exterior.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding route changes or delays.
- Load and unload cargo safely using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age (or 18 for intrastate driving).
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL is required (or a willingness to obtain one through our training program).
- Must possess a clean driving record and pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Ability to pass a physical examination to meet Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) standards.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform routine vehicle checks.
- Excellent verbal communication skills in English.
