Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers safely on highways and local routes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Load and unload cargo using standard lifting equipment.
- Maintain accurate logs and ensure all paperwork is up to date.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (or willingness to obtain).
- Clean driving record with no DUI or major traffic violations.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Strong understanding of basic vehicle mechanics is preferred.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
