Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles in a safe, professional, and legal manner at all times.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report mechanical issues.
- Load and unload freight accurately, ensuring cargo security and protection from damage.
- Maintain accurate records of hours of service, vehicle mileage, and cargo status in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT card) and eligibility for a drug screen.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience preferred, but entry-level candidates with a clean record are encouraged to apply.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and pass a physical ability test.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a demonstrated commitment to safety.
- Valid state-issued ID and Social Security Card.
