Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) to transport goods across North Carolina
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety standards
- Load/unload shipments with proper handling techniques
- Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status
- Complete necessary paperwork and documentation
- Participate in ongoing safety training and compliance updates
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or Class B license (or ability to obtain)
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic math skills for weight calculations and documentation
- Strong work ethic and punctuality
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings
- No CDL experience required – training provided
