Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) for regional and long-haul routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, HOS guidelines, and company safety protocols
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques and equipment operation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route status, delays, and customer interactions
- Complete necessary paperwork including delivery confirmations and incident reports
- Represent Swift Logistics with professionalism during customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- Minimum 1 year verifiable commercial driving experience OR graduation from accredited CDL training program
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic understanding of DOT regulations and safety compliance
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and work in varying weather conditions
- Willingness to travel overnight and work flexible schedules
