Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and heavy vehicles in accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring items are secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate records, including electronic logging devices (ELD), delivery receipts, and vehicle mileage.
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and route plans while navigating various terrains and traffic conditions.
- Interact professionally with customers and dispatchers to resolve issues and ensure satisfaction.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
- Must have a clean driving record with no serious traffic violations.
- Ability to pass a background check and a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor vehicle repairs is a plus.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and weekends as needed.
